A little tight but very nice capture!......another element at the side of the turtle would be nice to give us a sense of scale.....I understand they are the largerst turtles of the world.....How big is this one?....and yes the background looks odd....still nice work....Thanks for sharing such interesting animals!

Agreed about the tightness, you've captured some nice details here, the backround is very distracting however. +6

Nice work, and you've given me an idea! I shall post a great photo I have of one of these gentle giants in the future days. I wish the whole tortoise was in the frame though. That's my only crit. Brilliant clarity! Keep up the great shooting! :)

Nice capture!
A bit to tight and maybe darkening (using selective colors and pushing the black) would enhance the overall impression!

Background looks a little strange indeed, but very nice capture. Perhaps I would increase the contrast a little bit on the turtle?

Very nice capture, bit too tight crop...but otherwise good job. :)

Awesome creature! Agreed with others about the tightness and distracting background, and I also think the photo lacks contrast, but I still really like the photo!
